On, November 9, 2022, BCDI-Atlanta held its annual virtual listening session and community discussion on policies and budgets impacting Black children, in preparation for the 2023 Georgia Legislative Session.
As next steps, please consider our following Calls to Action:
Check your voter registration status and upcoming elections. Make sure you and everyone you know are registered to vote and will cast their ballot during early voting or on election day.
Keep up with what's happening Under the Gold Dome (Georgia General Assembly).
Track legislation. Identify one upcoming Bill that may have an impact on Black children and families to research and follow during this legislative session. Attend at least two related events that uplift legislation in your community.
Find a legislator to share your story or lift your voice.
