BCDI-Atlanta Connects with Early Childhood Educators at Gwinnett Building Babies' Brains Impact Lab

On December 7, BCDI-Atlanta was honored to participate as a vendor at the Impact Lab event hosted by Gwinnett Building Babies' Brains (GBBB). This half-day professional development session, held at Peachtree Ridge High School in Suwanee, GA, was a powerful opportunity to engage with over 200-250 early childhood educators committed to ensuring young learners are ready to thrive in kindergarten.

About the Event

GBBB is an early learning community initiative focused on preparing children in Gwinnett County for success in kindergarten and beyond. The Impact Lab brought together educators from various early learning spaces—including Gwinnett County Public Schools, early learning centers, faith-based programs, and home-based centers. Attendees included administrators, teachers, paraprofessionals, and assistants who work with children from birth to age five.

The event aimed to foster connections between early learning centers and the school system while providing educators with free, high-quality professional training. Through these efforts, GBBB is strengthening the foundation for Gwinnett’s youngest learners and building brighter futures for children in the community.

BCDI-Atlanta's Role

BCDI-Atlanta was proud to set up a vendor table and connect directly with the incredible educators attending the event. As champions of early childhood development, we shared resources, information, and opportunities aligned with our mission to support the education, care, and well-being of Black children and families.

We were inspired by the dedication and passion of the educators who visited our table. Conversations centered on the importance of collaboration and the need for resources that support culturally responsive teaching and inclusive learning environments. It was a valuable chance to connect with professionals making a real difference in early childhood education.

The Impact of Collaboration

This event underscored the power of partnerships like the one between BCDI-Atlanta and GBBB. Impact Lab helped build a stronger support network for young children across Gwinnett County by bringing together educators, community leaders, and organizations like ours.

A Bright Future Ahead

BCDI-Atlanta is grateful to Gwinnett Building Babies' Brains for organizing such a meaningful event and allowing us to participate. As we continue to advocate for early learning, we look forward to more opportunities to collaborate, share resources, and elevate the voices of educators and families.
