On October 29, 2024, BCDI-Atlanta had the honor of hosting members and supporters for the NBCDI Network Village Tour. This memorable event brought together our National VPs, community partners, and advocates to discuss partnership support and our shared mission.
The day began with introductions and breakfast at the Russell Innovation Center for Entrepreneurs (RICE), followed by an exclusive tour of the McIntosh Trail Head Start, where attendees explored the impact of BCDI-Atlanta's programs and observed our fellows in action.
After the tour, participants engaged in a meaningful discussion during lunch at Atlanta’s historic Paschal's Restaurant. We focused on strategies to deepen our collaborations and advance our shared goal of providing accessible and culturally relevant early education. Strong partnerships are essential to achieving this vision, and the contributions made during this conversation laid a solid foundation for continued progress.
We extend our gratitude to all who attended, particularly the National Black Child Development Institute VP team, BCDI-Atlanta Board Members, McIntosh Trail, United Way of Greater Atlanta, Georgia Department of Early Care and Learning (DECAL), Transformative Research & Evaluation (TRE), Southern Education Foundation, Furthering Fathering, dReam Kinds Academy Inc., DH Elevation Consulting, Georgia Southern University Child Development Center, and CCS: Marketing & Technology. Your invaluable presence and engagement made the event both informative and inspiring.
We look forward to seeing you at future BCDI-Atlanta events as we continue to work together to build a better future for young children!
